Job Summary
Allyn International is seeking an Entry‑Level Global Trade Compliance Specialist to support import and export compliance needs in our Trade Department in Fort Myers, FL. As a privately held professional services firm established in 1992, Allyn offers high‑quality, customer‑centric services in transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management, and trade compliance.
Responsibilities
Manage client’s customs brokers to ensure compliant, efficient, and cost‑effective entry of goods; establish and monitor service provider performance against key performance indicators.
Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance on anti‑boycott/ restrictive trade practices, export control classification, export licensing, compliance training, export documentation, tariff classification, customs valuation, duty drawback, reconciliation, country of origin marking and determination, record‑keeping, preference programs/FTAs, and customs clearance.
Ensure proper product tariff classification and valuation information.
Generate shipping documents such as commercial invoice and packing list.
Develop and maintain customized compliance programs and processes specific to client needs.
Conduct audits to assess export/import compliance and assist in determining corrective actions.
Gather and provide detailed analysis that may financially impact sourcing decisions.
Manage supplier contracts and collaborate with client suppliers.
Identify cost‑savings opportunities from client data sources.
Work with ad‑hoc teams on a project‑by‑project basis.
Continuously evaluate current processes and recommend relevant changes or improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college degree preferred.
Program and project management experience preferred.
Ability to formulate and present high‑level presentations and conduct training.
Ability to lead global, cross‑functional teams to achieve goals and objectives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Problem‑solving skills.
Effective time‑management and prioritization skills.
Employment Details Location:
Fort Myers, FL
Position/Classification:
Full‑time, exempt, entry‑level
Compensation:
$43,000–$48,000 annually
Hours of Work:
Regular business hours, Monday‑Friday
Physical Demands:
Sitting, typing, carrying, climbing stairs
