Senior Specialist, Technical Trade Compliance
Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Trade Compliance Engineer Job Code: 30029 Locations: Palm Bay, FL; Clifton, NJ; Colorado Springs, CO; Amityville, NY Job Schedule: 9/80 (80 hours worked, every other Friday off) Job Description: Conduct export jurisdiction and classification (J/C) determinations per U.S. Government regulations. Responsibilities include export J/C determinations, HTS determinations, approving international data transfers, and creating J/C training. Essential Functions
Conduct ITAR and EAR export J/C determinations for hardware, software, and export‑controlled info to support shipments and authorization applications. Perform custom classifications (HTS and Schedule B). Review supplier and OEM classifications. Review and approve transfers of export‑controlled info to international third parties. Review and approve L3Harris info to be placed in the public domain. Implement trade compliance policies per U.S. Export Regulations. Participate in planning and execution of Trade Compliance audits. Develop and provide J/C related training to trade professionals and engineers. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Preferred Additional Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum 6 years of experience. Graduate Degree in Engineering and minimum 4 years of experience. Full working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and Customs regulations with specific experience in ITAR/EAR jurisdiction and classification analysis. Familiarity with LO/CLO, Critical Program Information, and Anti‑Tamper requirements. Experience with OCR EASE Commodity Classification Module. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Advanced organizational skills. Perform duties with minimum supervision and participate in cross‑functional projects as needed. Exhibit high integrity and discretion. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance. Salary & Benefits
Salary ranges vary by state. For Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, and New York State: $71,500 – $132,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, Denver, Washington State, and New York City: $82,500 – $153,000. Benefits include health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company‑paid holidays. Application Window
