Role Summary:
My client is seeking a Bid Analyst to lead and manage the proposal and bid response process. This role is critical in ensuring the preparation of high-quality, compliant, and competitive submissions for RFBs, RFPs, and RFQs. The Bid Analyst will work cross-functionally with teams such as sales, engineering, and procurement to gather data, meet deadlines, and ensure that all documentation aligns with customer requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with experience in proposal writing, contract analysis, and procurement processes. Background knowledge of the transit or transportation industry is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze RFBs/RFPs/RFQs to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant submissions.
Prepare and coordinate all bid documentation according to customer specifications and deadlines.
Format, collate, and present proposals in alignment with customer and internal standards.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to gather bid content.
Ensure timely submission of all bids while maintaining quality and compliance.
Maintain and update a centralized bid opportunity database.
Conduct market and competitor research to evaluate new opportunities.
Develop familiarity with the company’s products and services to support proposal development.
Required Skills and Attributes:
Ability to interpret and analyze complex bid and contract documents.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Capable of managing multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Communications, Operations, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
2–4 years in a corporate, government, or procurement-related environment.
Experience with proposal or contract writing and project coordination.
Familiarity with procurement processes and government bidding procedures.
Experience in the transit or transportation industry is a plus.
