A Michigan-based company is seeking a Tool & Die Machinist for their Farmington location. This is a Direct Hire position. What you'll be doing as the Tool & Die Machinist: Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of tools and dies, including lathes, Bridgeport mills, and grinding machines Apply precision machining techniques to ensure tools and dies meet exact specifications, tolerances, and quality standards Diagnoses, troubleshooting, and repair tooling issues, making precise adjustments to maintain optimal performance and reliability Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the service life of tools and equipment Inspects previously used tools, dies, and fixtures to identify maintenance needs, wear patterns, and opportunities for process or design improvement What we look for in a Tool & Die Machinist: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in tool and die repair Journeyman Tool & Die Certification preferred Proficient in the repair and maintenance of single-hit, progressive, transfer, and compound dies, with a strong understanding of machining processes and techniques High School Diploma or equivalent required Additional information for the Tool & Die Machinist: $22-$24.50/hr. Monday-Thursday, 6:00am -- 4:30pm Farmington, MI
