The University of Texas at Austin offers a competitive benefits package that includes but not limited to: 100% employer-paid basic medical coverage Retirement contributions Paid vacation and sick time Paid holidays To provide management and oversight of the physical therapy department; to coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to Physical Therapists I and II, Physical Therapist Assistants, and support staff (PT Tech, Student Assistants, etc.); and to evaluate, plan, direct, administer, and document physical therapy services to patients. Evaluates, plans, directs, administers, and documents physical therapy services to patients. Maintains electronic patient health records. Manages the Physical Therapy department staff and operations to ensure optimal performance. Maintains a level of knowledge conducive of providing high-quality patient care. Demonstrates professionalism and commitment to quality care by adhering to customer service standards, respecting patient rights and confidentiality, following policies and procedures, and actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Actively participates in maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance pattern. Readily accepts other responsibilities and participates in other activities and committees as assigned. Bachelor's degree in physical therapy (PT) from a CAPTE-accredited school. Current Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners license. Current CPR certification. At least 5 years of experience as a physical therapist, including at least 2 years working in outpatient or sports medicine setting. At least 3 years of experience PT department manager or supervisor, overseeing Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively Excellent writing skills Demonstrated Professional demeanor. Experience documenting in an electronic health record. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Computer proficiency, including experience with EHR/practice management software and proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. More than the required qualifications Pattern of progressive growth and successful leadership in their career Advanced training or certifications in orthopedic manual therapy, McKenzie Method; and/or Graston Technique. Experience working in a college health facility. Flexible and adaptable with demonstrated change management experience. Demonstrated business acumen. Change management experience. $93,000 per year + depending on qualifications May work around standard office conditions May work around biohazards Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity Lifting and moving Exposure to chemicals and commercial items typically found in offices, medical clinics, and building repairs/maintenance.
