Purchasing Manager
to lead sourcing strategy and MRO operations across a complex, multi-site operation. This role is more than just procurement—it's about building partnerships, driving cost-saving strategies, and ensuring mission-critical materials and services are in place to keep things running smoothly. The right candidate will bring a blend of strategic sourcing experience, supplier relationship management, and hands-on leadership—particularly in storeroom operations and high-value negotiations. Familiarity with capital and maintenance initiatives is a plus. Please note:
This is an on-site role based in Northern Maine. Serious applicants only, including those open to relocating to this beautiful part of the country. A few things this role will include: Leading supplier relationships and optimizing sourcing strategy Evaluating quality, cost, and reliability to ensure continuous improvement Supporting major maintenance and CAPEX projects Managing storeroom operations and driving efficiency through key metrics Collaborating cross-functionally to support critical business goals What we’re looking for: 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership A background in manufacturing (pulp and paper experience is a big plus) Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills Someone who thrives on both strategy and execution A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Engineering Experience managing a portfolio of MRO or technical goods Familiarity with inflation mitigation strategies and cost reduction initiatives If you're ready to lead a high-impact procurement function in a key industry—and you're energized by both challenge and opportunity—this might be the move you've been waiting for.
