Mechanical Cad Design Engineer

The Mechanical Products Team is seeking a CAD Design Engineer in the Shipboard Effectors Department. The position is located on-site in Tucson, AZ. What You Will Do: Develops or improves products, test equipment, or manufacturing processes. Develops data and makes parametric models, layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Designs, develops and tests metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs. They will solve routine problems of varying scope and complexity following established policies and procedures with minimal direction or supervision. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or in absence of a degree, an additional 2 years of experience is required. 2 years of experience with CREO Parametric (Pro/Engineer) solid modeling CAD software or similar (SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
