Per Diem - Respiratory Therapist at Corona Regional Rehabilitation in Corona, Ca

Reporting to Respiratory Care Practitioner Supervisor, this position provides respiratory therapy including assessment, treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, ABG lab procedures, puncture and analysis, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. The therapist also provides consultation, instruction, and technical direction to medical, nursing, and other staff members, performing limited cardiology diagnostic procedures.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965 with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. The facility merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 to become a 238‑bed community hospital network comprising a 160‑bed acute care hospital and a 78‑bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission and employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers with a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing over 40 specialties.

Qualifications

RCP CA License (required for both main and Magnolia positions)

BLS (required for both main and Magnolia positions)

ACLS (required for main position)

PALS (required for main position)

NRP (90 days required for Magnolia position)

ABM (90 days required for Magnolia position)

As of July 10, 2019, must possess Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential granted by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain credential throughout employment. Holds an associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy. Current RCP License from the state of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Maintains active credentials by the NBRC (RRT, CRT, NPS, CPFT, ACCS or RPFT).
