JOB SUMMARY
Laramie Health and Rehabilitation is accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant to assist with general maintenance responsibilities throughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Read blueprints and manuals.
Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Operate hand and power tools safely.
Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment.
Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment.
Repair plaster and drywall.
Maintain plumbing system and fixtures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required: General experience in equipment maintenance; demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials.
Required: Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to physical plant problems.
Preferred: Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe.
Preferred: Basic knowledge of HVAC.
Preferred: Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations.
EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
Preferred: Industry experience or similar general maintenance and repair background.
