Position Summary The Maintenance Lead role requires a rotating work schedule. Shifts rotate every four weeks: 1st shift 5:00 am–2:00 pm, 2nd shift 1:00 pm–10:00 pm, 3rd shift 9:00 pm–6:00 am. A $500 sign‑on bonus is offered.
Job Description
Safely perform emergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructure, minimizing production time losses.
Administer a preventative maintenance program to establish reliability of production equipment and infrastructure.
Use company equipment and tools safely, ensuring a safe work environment by following Lock‑out/Tag‑out procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
Enter and complete work orders using the work order system as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Communicate daily with internal personnel from production and quality control to resolve problems and achieve company goals.
Review completed maintenance tasks to ensure proper and timely completion.
Develop and review standard operating procedures governing maintenance functions.
Maintain clean and safe work areas, including repair sites.
Understand and comply with quality and environmental management system principles.
Qualifications
3–5 years documented experience as an industrial maintenance electrician.
Journeyman license preferred (State of Texas) but not required.
Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and simple correspondence.
Effective communication skills in small group settings with other employees.
Proficiency in calculating figures such as fractions, percentages, areas, circumferences, and volumes.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, PLCs and troubleshoot electrical systems including thermocouplers, contacts, transducers, and encoders.
Problem‑solving ability involving multiple variables in standard situations.
Capability to drive a forklift and use power tools.
Working knowledge of 480 V/120 V electrical systems, electric motors, contactors, Allen Bradley PLCs, and control circuits.
Strong troubleshooting skills with multi‑meter and amprobe, familiarity with PLC systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, power transmission systems, and piping systems.
Ability to assemble and commission electrical panels.
Willingness to work in hot and cold environments.
Willingness to work rotating shift and overtime.
