Responsible for performing as an assistant to supervisor, and in a lead capacity by assigning and checking work and providing daily guidance/training to subordinate Hosts or Ticket Agents. Part-time and full-time schedules are available. We\u2019re excited to share that the job is based in beautiful Juneau, Alaska! Starting Rate: $22.00 - DOE. Seasonal Employees are eligible for the Seasonal Employee Layoff Bonus Plan. The plan is designed to provide an effective means to motivate and compensate eligible seasonal employees during the term of their assignment. Goldbelt, Inc. may, in certain limited circumstances, grant discretionary performance bonuses outside of this program, in the sole discretion of the Company. Goldbelt, Inc. hopes that by providing short-term incentive compensation, this will motivate and increase the retention rate among its employees which in turn will enhance Goldbelt Inc.’s long-term value. Responsibilities
Ensure that each customer receives prompt and courteous service. Be people-oriented and able to provide superior customer service. Display a positive attitude that is contagious, speaking highly of the company in the presence of customers or other associates. Responsible for a balanced drawer. Use accuracy when ringing up a sale and counting back cash; apply diplomacy when a customer\'s credit card is declined. Function as the respective ticket agent supervisor with limited decision-making authority during operational hours when the manager is not on duty; strive to maintain and/or improve guest and/or ticketing services. Assist the Guest Services Supervisor in establishing and nurturing a good working relationship between the Tramway, season pass holders, vendors, and the cruise ship sales staff to secure and increase sales and offer quality services and products to potential tramway guests. Open and/or close the ticketing counter per the opening/closing checklist. Provide correct tour and local visitor information and assistance at the tramway station and ticketing services; supervise and guide subordinate Ticket Agents, assign tasks, check quality of work-performance, and provide follow-up improvement suggestions. Assist the Guest Services Manager and Supervisors to ensure proper cash handling techniques and accurate revenue reporting. Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge Ability to meet time and attendance requirements. Ability to work all different shifts including holidays and weekends. Ability to attend all scheduled meetings, orientations and training. Ability to handle stress under pressure. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to learn, understand, and follow oral and written instructions/directions. Skill in operating personal computer utilizing a variety of computer software. Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees. Ability to work directly with the public, providing information and assistance on a daily basis. Willingness to learn and convey to guests areas of interest such as local history, people, culture, geography, etc. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of ticket agent or host or paraprofessional level experience involved with tourism, travel, and/or hospitality services, including cash handling tasks. Ability to successfully pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications
Current CPR and first aid certificates. Previous experience working in the visitor or hospitality industry or other customer service related field. Seniority level
