Sales Support Estimator - Manufacturing | Metal Stamping | RFQ Estimating
A long-standing manufacturing organization is seeking a Sales Support / Estimator to join its growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent customer service experience, and a background in RFQ/RFP estimating, manufacturing, or metal fabrication. The team handles high-volume, custom parts orders and partners with customers across aerospace, medical device, consumer products, HVAC, telecommunications, renewable energy, and more. The Sales Support / Estimator is responsible for analyzing customer RFQs, reviewing engineering drawings and blueprints, and preparing accurate job estimates for custom manufactured components. This role collaborates with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and precise quoting-supporting both sales growth and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Receive, evaluate, and process requests for quotes (RFQs) via website submissions, email, and phone. Prepare accurate cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and technical requirements. Review material, labor, and production needs to determine feasibility and pricing. Identify and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive and accurate pricing. Communicate with customers to clarify requirements, resolve questions, and provide quote follow-up. Maintain strong relationships with customers to support ongoing sales volume and margin goals. Review purchase orders, job histories, engineering changes, and quality requirements for accuracy. Re-price existing orders as needed based on updated costs, materials, or timelines. Follow detailed work instructions and support continuous process improvement. Perform additional administrative, sales support, estimating, or production-related tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications
2+ years of RFQ/RFP estimating or sales support experience - required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings - highly preferred. Experience in manufacturing, precision engineering, metal stamping, or fabrication - strong plus. Solid math skills including decimals, fractions, and metric conversions. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines. Ability to work onsite full-time with excellent attendance. Experience with ERP systems (Workwise or similar) is helpful but can be trained. Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical upon permanent hire. Schedule & Compensation
Full-time, onsite Monday-Friday Flexible start times: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM 7:00 AM-3:30 PM 9:00 AM-5:30 PM Pay: $23-$25/hr depending on experience Temp-to-hire opportunity Benefits During Contract
