State College, PA | $31.84 per hour

Responsibilities The Dendrician Maintenance Specialist position is a labor-intensive position primarily involving the planting, maintaining, care and removal of public trees and other plant materials. The position offers a high degree of exposure to the public. The work is performed under the direction of the Tree Foreman with guidance from the Buildings and Grounds Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or related field.
At least one year of work related experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, or related field.
Combination of professional certifications, education, and/or five (5) or more years of work related experience considered.
Commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsement, without air brake restriction required within six months of employment.
Pesticide applicator’s license required within twelve months of date of employment.
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
