Responsibilities

Investigate client service complaints of discrimination, document investigations, and prepare reports to external agencies such as the Florida Commission on Human Relations and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Provide consultative services to EO coordinators, personnel officers, and all levels of management on equal opportunity, sexual harassment, and ADA matters.

Conduct on‑site reviews and recommend policy improvements to ensure compliance with Title VI, Section 504, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Develop and deliver training on civil rights issues, including sexual harassment, equal employment opportunity, disability, diversity, and service delivery.

Assist with updating the department’s affirmative action plan, monitor diversity efforts, and produce required statistical reports.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of major personnel programs, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and public administration.

Proficiency in evidence collection and analysis, and effective verbal and written communication.

Ability to conduct fact‑finding research, apply relevant state and federal laws, and develop alternative recommendations.

Experience preparing reports on program functions, including affirmative action plans.

Ability to work independently, plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments, and establish effective working relationships.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Qualifications

Preferred: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
