Radiologic CT Technologist
Radiologic Computed Tomography Technologist with Cone Health, delivering high‑quality patient care during CT procedures and diagnostic imaging examinations.
Essential Job Functions
Perform routine and special CT and diagnostic exams in accordance with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within set benchmarks.
Follow physicians’ instructions regarding which body areas require imaging.
Explain the procedure to patients and answer questions to reduce anxiety and increase understanding.
Position patients correctly and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high‑quality images of specific body parts.
Review patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging parameters for accurate results.
Operate and maintain advanced CT equipment, adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure precise, reliable imaging.
Record and document all CT scans and associated data in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), verifying charges and resolving discrepancies to ensure smooth workflow.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program.

Licensure / Certification / Listing
Required: BLS (CPR) – American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
Acceptable certifications: ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT) NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT) Combination: ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or ORCNMT and ARRT(CT) OR ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) OR ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT).
