The Controls Programmer will be responsible for developing and implementing programming and graphics for HVAC control systems, working from project design specifications and sequences of operations. This individual will configure and customize control systems to be field‑ready, ensuring they meet all requirements for a smooth startup by field technicians. Although working remotely is acceptable, this position requires occasional visits to customer sites and field offices in Richmond and the Tidewater areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program control sequences from scratch based on project design and operation specifications.
Develop graphics and user interfaces on the selected control platform, ensuring ease of use and clarity
Prepare the platform for field startup by field technicians, ensuring all programming and graphics are functional and accessible.
Support commissioning activities remotely as needed, assisting field technicians in verifying system operation and troubleshooting issues during startup.
Collaborate with project managers and field technicians to ensure all program requirements are met.
Maintain documentation and update records for all completed programming and graphic work.
Conduct remote troubleshooting and support as necessary for field issues post-installation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Tridium Niagara N4 certified strongly desired.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in control systems programming; strong understanding of HVAC systems and controls.
Software Skills: Familiarity with programing and graphics creation on control platforms.
Remote Readiness: Capable of performing duties remotely with effective communication and project management skills.
