Position Title:
Cemetery Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Position Status:
Full-time, Non-Exempt
This position provides support to the Lead Foreman by processing, filing, documenting funeral orders into cemetery records, and communicating with funeral directors and the main office. The CSR will assist families with inquiries of cemetery lots, policies, procedures, etc.
Job Responsibilities
Support all foremen with duties that interact with the Main Office.
Prepare & maintain reports for the Lead Foreman & Main Office alike.
Provide Lead Foreman with organizational ideas to optimize internal procedures to align with those of the Main Office.
Complete data entries to the cemetery software systems.
Serve as point of contact for funeral directors, monument companies, & families questions or concerns.
Assist families with directions, sales paperwork, & general information.
Prepare sales folders with necessary documents for families to receive.
Assist with burial orders and foundation orders received from the main office.
Review all funeral orders for Lead Foreman as to accuracy, and daily confirmations with funeral directors.
Dispatch the appropriate foreman for customer assistance.
Promote the Order of Christian Funerals to families and funeral directors.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess knowledge of Diocesan policies and guidelines.
Efficiency in entering data into computer accurately.
Ensure data integrity and maintain accurate records.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Maintain good relations with customers and funeral directors.
Required Education, Training and/or Experience
Office experience in organizing and optimizing procedures of maintaining files & records.
Working experience with MS Office software & Windows-based data systems is essential.
Reporting Relationships This position reports directly to: Business Manager of Catholic Cemeteries.
