What You Will Do

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of SS&C products and services for the insurance and insurance asset‑management market, and architect tailored solutions and future‑state operating models for prospective clients.

Work collaboratively with sales representatives and key internal stakeholders across software development, implementations, and outsourcing to act as a liaison in defining and delivering on prospective client requirements.

Take a consultative approach to qualify opportunities, asking thoughtful, open‑ended questions to understand current state, challenges, priorities, strategic objectives, and timelines.

Combine independent research on prospective clients with discovery learnings to identify the best solution(s) that address requirements and provide business value.

Provide responsive support throughout a long‑term sales cycle, including discovery, RFP processes, POCs, presentations, follow‑ups, and business case development.

Schedule internal prep meetings and dry‑runs to ensure presenters understand scope and key differentiators.

Prepare for prospect meetings with high organization and attention to detail, delivering high‑quality presentations and product demonstrations.

Project manage RFP process using tools like Loopio to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely submissions.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams and executives to strategize and execute new client opportunities.

Establish rapport with contacts at prospective clients, building trust and confidence.

Effectively position our product, services, and benefits to both business and technical users, showcasing the solution competitively.

Develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, including strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.

Ensure a continuous feedback loop between sales and development to shape product strategy.

Hold regular meetings with software development to maintain deep knowledge of our product roadmap and delivery timelines.

Continuously improve the Singularity demo environment with differentiating features and relevant examples.

What You Will Bring

5–7 years of experience in a similar sales engineer role, supporting complex strategic sales processes.

Understanding of insurance company investment portfolios is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree.

Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.

Self‑starter, able to work independently and collaboratively to drive new revenue.

Organizational intelligence and ability to navigate a large, global company.

Flexibility to travel as needed for in‑person presentations and industry conferences.

Strong presence and sales aptitude.

Strong desire to be part of a winning sales team.

Excellent presentation and communication skills to present using solution selling and a consultative approach, establishing trust across technical and non‑technical audiences, including C‑suite executives.
