Summary HII Mission Technologies is hiring a Contractor Operations and Maintenance Support (COMS) Lead to support F‑16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators for the Air National Guard at Hill AFB, UT. This hybrid technical‑lead role ensures the readiness and reliability of advanced flight simulation systems used in pilot training.

What You Will Do Leadership & Oversight
Lead a team of technical staff, managing schedules, performance, and development
Ensure simulator systems meet operational readiness standards and customer expectations
Promote safety, compliance, and knowledge‑sharing across the team
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews
Flexible schedule to meet training demands
Technical Operations & Support
Maintain and operate F‑16 simulation systems, including communications and network components
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during training events and daily operations
Perform system diagnostics, readiness testing, and implement hardware/software updates
Interpret technical schematics and documentation to support maintenance and upgrades
Provide support for Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) and networking functions
What You Must Have
Education & Experience (one of the following):
Bachelor’s degree in related field + 5 years relevant experience
Master’s degree in related field + 3 years relevant experience
PhD or JD in related field (no experience required)
High School diploma or equivalent + 9 years relevant experience
Must obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) prior to start
Strong ability to interpret schematics, safety rules, and technical manuals
Solid understanding of aircraft systems and simulation technology
Advanced troubleshooting skills and experience with diagnostic tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Adobe products
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate in a team environment
U.S. citizenship and current or active DoD Secret clearance required
Preferred Requirements
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) or higher
Experience with F‑16 Aircrew or Maintenance Training Systems
Prior support of Special Access Program (SAP) efforts
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 40 pounds overhead
Ability to climb into simulators or aircraft cockpits
Stooping, bending, and crawling required for device access
Must detect environmental cues (e.g., sounds, odors) for troubleshooting
Ability to distinguish colors for system diagnostics
