Job Overview As a Commercial Product Specialist II, Small Group and Level Funded, you will collaborate with the Commercial Product team and internal departments on the development and deployment of new and existing Small Group and Level Funded products. Your work will support product analysis, implementation activities, research product/program challenges, and identify trends for a 3-5 year roadmap.
Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuary, Legal, and Regulatory teams during the product life cycle
Develop training materials for brokers and sales teams
Maintain and update product grids
Engage with functional and matrix partners (Regulatory, Legal, Sales, Product, Marketing)
Enhance product performance and support growth goals
Review customization requests related to product design
Conduct market segment research
Monitor trends using internal and external resources
Assist with gathering and executing product requirements
Partner with Underwriting and Actuary teams for rating and pricing
Consider overall customer experience and product performance
Collaborate with Product Managers to provide recommendations
Support other product segments as needed (Fully Insured, Self-funded)
Perform other duties as assigned
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the product team
Identify process improvements
Develop templates, workflows, and process documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
3+ years of related experience beyond the degree
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Small Group actuarial values, ACA and CMS guidelines, and products
Understanding of Level Funded cost structure and products
Understanding of the overall customer experience and product performance lifecycle
Ability to support other product segments
Ability to perform tactical execution, identify areas of process improvement, and streamline processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Detail-oriented
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Independent, self-driven professional
Location and Work Arrangements This is an office role that requires onsite work, on average, 3 days per week. Candidates located near Minnetonka, MN; Madison, WI; Omaha, NE; or St. Louis, MO are preferred.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $49,800 – $85,300 annually. Typical hiring range: $49,800 - $71,100.
