Overview

Cars Offline is seeking a Freelance Automotive Photographer based in the Metro‑Boston area to capture high‑quality imagery of collector, enthusiast, and luxury vehicles featured on our platform. This role is a critical part of our visual storytelling process and works in close coordination with our post‑production and creative teams to ensure every vehicle is presented with clarity, character, and intention.

This position is ideal for a photographer who understands that great automotive imagery is not just about the car, but about the story, design, and presence behind it.

Responsibilities

• Capture brand‑aligned photography of vehicles at dealerships, private collections, storage facilities, and select outdoor locations
• Produce a complete and consistent image set per vehicle, including exterior, interior, detail, and contextual shots
• Execute clean, well‑lit, and color‑accurate captures that support Cars Offline’s post‑production workflow
• Follow established Cars Offline visual standards, shot lists, and creative direction
• Coordinate with Cars Offline’s creative and post‑production team to ensure smooth handoff and efficient turnaround
• Adapt to a variety of shooting environments including indoor garages, showrooms, and outdoor settings
• Represent Cars Offline professionally when working on site with collectors, dealers, and partners

Requirements

• Must be based in the Metro‑Boston area
• Strong understanding of lighting, reflections, composition, and vehicle presentation
• Proficiency with professional camera equipment and clean capture practices
• Ability to work independently while adhering to brand and creative guidelines
• Reliable transportation and availability to travel throughout the Metro‑Boston area
• Strong communication skills and dependable on‑site professionalism
• High attention to detail and care when working around high‑value vehicles

Nice to Have

• Experience photographing collector‑grade, luxury, or enthusiast vehicles
• Ability to capture supplemental short‑form video or motion clips
• Familiarity working within a structured post‑production or content pipeline
