Credit & Collections Specialist at TSI The Credit & Collections Specialist will actively contact customers regarding past due invoices, identify and resolve credit and collections issues, release orders from credit hold, work with other departments to investigate and resolve issues, evaluate customer credit worthiness, negotiate terms, and participate in special projects as required.
What Will You Do?
Conduct credit and collections activity while providing and maintaining good customer relations
Actively contact customers regarding past due invoices
Contact customers, company sales personnel, and others to resolve questions regarding credit holds. Release orders from credit hold status once resolved
Evaluate customer credit and recommend credit limits. Obtain credit applications including credit references, conduct credit checks, scan or enter customer information into customer master and set credit/billing terms.
Monitor account status of PIA and customers on “order hold status” for payment activity
Resolve outstanding customer credit balances
Maintain customer master records and notes
Prepare audit schedules as requested for annual audit
Complete other assignments and special projects as requested
What Do You Need? Required
High School or GED
Minimum of three years of credit & collections experience
Negotiation techniques
General accounting and Microsoft Excel knowledge
Desired
AAS degree in either accounting or business administration
Minimum of five years of experience working in A/R, credit & collections or related area
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong phone presence.
Active listener with strong customer service orientation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyHigh level of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction

Pay & Benefits Competitive market salary from $50,000 - $63,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
