Benefits & Absence Advisor

iA American Warranty Group is seeking a Benefits & Absence Advisor to manage North American (Canada and United States) benefits and absence operational processes. The role supports transversal projects and plays a key role in mergers, acquisitions, and integrations. The position is based in the USA and is remote. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the Benefits & Absence Advisor facilitates operational processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other regulations. Fluency in French is required. What You’ll Accomplish

Manage benefits‑related transactions and Tier 2 inquiries in Workday. Coordinate leaves of absence and ADA accommodations with internal teams and third‑party administrators, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other regulations. Maintain proactive communication with employees and managers during leave periods to support smooth return‑to‑work transitions. Assist with annual processes such as Open Enrollment, 401(k) audits, and 1095C reporting. Ensure accurate employment records and handle confidential information in compliance with policies. Collaborate with HRIS and VPTC partners on benefits and absence‑related projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and system testing in Workday. Document and maintain procedures in the knowledge base to support operational integrity. What Could Accelerate Your Success

Analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem‑solving. Attention to accuracy, ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. French bilingualism (required). Advanced knowledge of benefits & absence processes in Canada and the United States. Strong knowledge of Workday modules for benefits & absence. At least 5 years of HR operations experience focused on benefits and absence administration and M&A. Associate degree from an accredited university. Flexibility to work on Eastern Time.
