ThedaCare is seeking a BE or BC Physician to join as our Medical Director of Well-Being for North Region of Froedtert ThedaCare Health. This position will be 0.4 FTE for administrative duties plus clinical work as desired up to a 1.0 FTE.
Key Accountabilities:
- The Medical Director will develop a strategy to create a wellness culture within the North Region in alignment with the system success measures. This will also Include creating and recruiting the positions for the North region administrative support and management of an annual budget.
- The Medical Director will also Chair the CLCC committee in the North Region.
- Monitor and manage the budgetary needs of the North region related to allocation of resources for tools, programs, events, administrative support, and staff development. This includes tracking expenses related to survey instruments, licensing fees, recognition initiatives, wellness events, staff training, and travel. Collaborate with leadership to align budget forecasts with strategic priorities and ensure sustainable program growth. This also involves estimating resource needs both within and outside the department (e.g., project management or administrative support).
- The Medical Director will work to make sure that the North Region SLT understands and prioritizes the well-being of physicians/clinicians, not only to support those health professionals but also to affirm our care for our community and business case for success.
- The Medical Director will collaborate with Information Services to improve EMR optimization and support initiatives that promote practice efficiency. Additionally, will work closely with Information Services and clinical leadership to streamline EMR usage, reduce in-basket messaging burdens, and foster greater efficiency, helping to alleviate clinician burnout.
- The medical director will develop and implement educational initiatives and will collect data to evaluate the programs effectiveness.
- The medical director will report quarterly to the North Region SLT on the status of wellbeing initiatives.
- The medical director must develop strategies and resources, including supporting and enhancing the North Region Peer to Peer support program, to respond to the needs of health professionals during a crisis.
- Collaborate with the System and Regional Leaders overseeing the physician and clinical leadership development program.
Other responsibilities:
- Work with North Region VP in the Office of GME to support North Region based resident and fellow physicians and the APC fellowship clinicians.
- Collaborate with key leaders to support physician/clinician recruiting, onboarding and retention.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with HR and other North Region departments for the measurement and development of all North Region wellness programs and recognition efforts.
- Visibility and communication with leaders of front-line team members.
