The BENEFITS ANALYST supports the administration of multiple health and welfare plans and is responsible for day-to-day administration of the retirement plan, 401(k). This role is deeply involved in open enrollment initiatives, benefit vendor implementations, data management and plan analytics. Must possess a working knowledge of benefits policies and best practices and be eager to continuously learn new market trends. Analyst provides ongoing plan analysis, budgeting, benchmarking, and plan design support. Must be a team player who is committed to providing our associates with exceptional service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support for analysis and tracking of associate benefit plans, including data analytics, benefit design, benchmarking, and costing analysis.
Responsible for daily monitoring and administration of 401(k) plan, including data integrity/management.
Assist with annual retirement plan audits and 5500 preparation/submission.
Ensure ACA compliance, data accuracy, and oversee creation of 1095-C forms.
Audit/reconcile benefits data to ensure accuracy for payroll purposes.
Execute annual open enrollment strategy, including set up and testing.
Assist with benefit vendor implementations and ongoing vendor relationship management.
Provide tactical support for benefit vendor program management.
Track and monitor severance payments.
Provide customer service support via phone and email with other team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent analytical skills, combined with the ability to explain and influence opinion using data.
Exceptional problem resolution, attention to detail, project management, follow-through, and prioritizing skills.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (required) and Access (preferred).
High degree of initiative.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Works well independently; able to complete activities with training and some oversight.
Maintains a high degree of confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
4-5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with Benefits and/or HR administration systems (ADP Enterprise, Benefitfocus systems are a plus).
Previous experience with 401(k) administration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) Certification preferred.
EDUCATION Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Human Resources.
