Reports to: Vice President of Marketing
Normal Hours: Commonly an eight-hour shift scheduled between 8AM and 5PM, Monday-Friday - Hybrid Work Model
Travel: Yes - approximately 30-50%, depending upon company initiatives and projects
General Description (major areas of responsibility of this position)
The Sales Enablement and Marketing Specialist III will equip the sales team with the right content, training, coaching, processes, and tools needed to succeed by providing marketing and sales support. This individual develops and implements marketing & sales enablement strategies to support the sales team in achieving targets. Being a Sales Enablement and Marketing Specialist III utilizes data and feedback to identify areas where improvements can be made and adjusts strategies as needed.
This individual provides the sales team with the resources, information, and support needed to sell effectively and efficiently. This role is highly collaborativeworking across Marketing, Sales & National Accounts, Operations, Product, Pricing, HR, and Supply Chainto ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives, cross-functional alignment, and optimized customer engagement. This individual will also oversee tradeshow and industry event management, ensuring Continental Battery Systems has a strong, professional, and strategic presence that supports lead generation and customer relationships. The ideal candidate is resourceful, independent, positive, proactive, and able to take full ownership of tasks from concept through flawless execution. A positive, solutions-oriented, team-first attitude is essential.
Minimum Qualifications
- Formal Training (courses, degrees, and credentials required): Bachelors Degree or above in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales enablement, sales operations, national accounts, or training (B2B preferred)
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Tradeshow or industry event management experience is strongly preferred.
- Background in automotive, energy, industrial distribution, or manufacturing is a plus
Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of department administrative procedures, methods, and techniques
- Advanced knowledge of business policies and practices, document flows, general office procedures, rules, methods, and techniques
- Advanced knowledge of ERP (Enterprise resource planning) applications (Netsuite preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of LMS platforms
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools

Extent of Supervision
A person in this position operates under limited supervision and follows routine procedures independently, and is responsible for managing and carrying out areas of responsibility within the scope of established goals and objectives while having flexibility in determining the priority of assignments. A wide degree of ownership, accountability, proactivity, follow-up, creativity and latitude is required. The employee is expected to exercise initiative in organizing and executing upon daily tasks and judgement is exercised in interpreting practices and procedures for resolving work problems.
Sales Enablement Strategy & Execution
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine the sales enablement strategy supporting Sales & National Accounts.
- Identify skill gaps, process bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve sales performance and customer outcomes.
- Translate business priorities into focused marketing programs.
- Relationships - both internally and externally - are the foundation of our success. Clear communication, attention to detail, timely responsiveness and a focus on healthy, collaborative partnerships are essential to delivering a best-in-class customer journey. Taking part in meetings and using ownership and initiative to follow-up are key skills for this role.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner across all departmentsincluding Marketing, Sales/National Accounts, Operations, Product, Pricing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chainto ensure alignment and successful rollout of sales and marketing initiatives.
- Serve as the positive and responsive connector between teams to drive communication, streamline execution, and maintain accountability.
- Maintain consistent feedback loops between sales teams and internal business units.
- Collaborate with Marketing to create pitch decks, product guides, sales playbooks, competitive battle cards, and customer-ready collateral.
- Ensure sales teams are fully trained and engaged with the marketing ticket system, analytics dashboards, and other sales enablement tools.
- Maintain a centralized sales resource library with current, accurate, and easy-to-use materials.
Training & Development
- Build and deliver sales onboarding, ongoing training, and role-based learning pathways.
- Facilitate workshops on products, customer segments, sales process, national account management, negotiation, and competitive positioning.
Tradeshow & Event Management
- Lead planning, logistics, coordination, and on-site support for national tradeshows, industry events, and customer meetings.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales Leadership and Teams to ensure brand alignment, lead capture strategy, pre- and post-show communication, and measurable event ROI.
- Oversee booth design, vendor coordination, and cross-departmental support.
Sales Process Optimization
- Develop and document standardized sales processes, national account playbooks, and account planning frameworks.
- Coach teams on best practices for discovery, closing, objection handling, and consultative engagements.
- Monitor sales adoption of key processes and tools.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report on enablement impact through readiness metrics, sales productivity, content adoption, and quota achievement.
- Present insights and recommendations to Sales Leadership to inform priorities and decision-making.
