Marketing Project Specialist (Part-time)

Overview

Marketing Project Specialist (Part-time) at Floor & Decor. The role supports the Marketing team in managing active projects and the pipeline of new requests across all channels. You will work with multiple functional areas of the business and the creative team to ensure project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate briefs and tickets, perform resource planning, establish project timelines and workflow, and assist in determining effective project communication plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper execution of project plans and timely delivery.
• Track projects at risk of missing deadlines and work with stakeholders to set revised schedules.
• Run internal status and resourcing meetings and maintain knowledge of available resources between meetings.
• Provide project updates to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
• Develop understanding of channel needs to inform creative execution as needed.
• Serve as a traffic manager, assigning projects based on employees skills and business focus.
• Manage and report on creative resource needs and communicate allocation and utilization to leadership; identify issues and propose solutions.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing print and digital projects within a marketing or advertising firm
• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred
• Proficient in Mac OSX, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office (advanced Excel skills required)
• Knowledge of Workfront and Jira strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail, methodical, organized, and process-oriented
• Solid understanding of the retail industry
• Outstanding communication skills with authority and tact, and know when to escalate
• Adaptable to change in a fast-paced work environment

Essential Job Functions

• Work cross-functionally with partner departments to understand initiatives and plan marketing resources accordingly.
• Ensure incoming requests have adequate information to kick-off projects.
• Track and escalate projects at risk of missing deadlines; coordinate with stakeholders to set revised schedules.
• Problem-solve to ensure smooth project processes and resolve schedule conflicts.
• Conduct internal status and resourcing meetings and understand available resources autonomously between meetings.
• Demonstrate clear communication for a diverse audience, including timelines and costs.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
• Understand channel needs to inform creative execution.
• Act as a traffic manager to appropriately assign projects based on skills and focus areas.
• Manage and report on creative resource needs and keep leadership informed of allocation and utilization; identify issues and propose solutions.

Working Conditions

• Limited travel required, including air and car travel.
• Occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment while performing duties.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary work ability to exert 10-20 pounds of force occasionally and sit for extended periods. May involve walking or standing for brief periods.
