Responsibilities
Prepare and review tax returns for businesses (partnership, S‑Corp, C‑Corp), trusts, estates, foundations, and individuals, including payroll, sales tax, and foreign reporting when appropriate.
Analyze client bookkeeping records for accuracy and GAAP compliance, prepare adjusting journal entries, and produce monthly and year‑end financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow) for tax and advisory engagements.
Conduct tax research and planning, including CCH IntelliConnect, BNA projections, special research projects, and retirement account recommendations.
Prepare tax strategies and projections, provide tax planning advice to clients and their Financial Advisors, review and respond to tax notices, and respond to state and federal auditor inquiries.
Amend tax returns, operationalize and improve processes, systems, tools, and communication to enhance effectiveness, productivity, responsiveness, and client satisfaction.
Identify opportunities to increase value delivered to clients and revenue for Financial Advisors.
Build and maintain good relationships with Financial Advisors and clients, act as a tax subject‑matter expert, train junior staff, and develop training plans for non‑tax staff.
Maintain expertise in all aspects of tax compliance, keep current with software tools, and pursue continuing professional education.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required).
CPA or EA credential (required).
Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience (required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to consult with and meet clients.
Availability to work overtime during busy seasons (Mar‑Apr and Sep‑Oct).
Experience with QuickBooks, Lacerte tax software, and Laserfiche is preferred.

$100,000.00 – $115,000.00
