Overview We’re looking for Automotive Mechanics with a

minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience

to join us at Carvana, the fastest-growing used‑automotive retailer in U.S. history and one of the four fastest companies to make the Fortune 500.

Role & Responsibilities As an Experienced Auto Technician, you’ll be expected to perform extensive repairs and heavy engine work, advanced vehicle diagnostics, as well as the following:

Repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues

Installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems

Performing vehicle diagnostics and repairs on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles

Carvana offers several Technician roles in our Inspection Centers, each with its own focus:

Entry‑Level Auto Technician

(min 6 months professional experience): perform light maintenance, fluid checks, and initial inspections to identify imperfections or needed repairs.

Brake and Tire Technician

(min 1 year professional experience): perform light maintenance or repairs, including changing brakes and tires.

Mid‑Level Mechanical Repair / Build / General Technician

(min 3 years professional experience): perform light to medium automotive repairs and minimal diagnostics.

Experienced Technician

(min 5 years professional experience): perform extensive repairs, heavy engine work, and advanced diagnostics on all makes, including electric and hybrid vehicles.

Qualifications & Requirements

Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools – must lift up to 60 pounds independently.

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to extreme weather conditions (heat/cold).

Use of safety equipment – face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments may be required.
