Senior Java/Spring Boot/Angular Developer Wisconsin, Madison 06/06/2025 Contract Active Job Description: Job Summary: The ideal candidate will serve as a hands-on Senior Technologist/Lead responsible for modernizing client web applications. The role involves migrating legacy applications to modern frameworks and containerized environments, enhancing application architecture, and leading CI/CD pipeline development efforts following DevSecOps best practices. Job Responsibilities: Lead the migration of legacy web applications to Spring Boot framework Upgrade Java versions and modernize existing Java/J2EE applications Update and enhance presentation layers using Angular Design and implement microservices architecture Migrate applications to container-hosted environments (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes) Collaborate with DevOps teams to build a secure, automated CI/CD pipeline Provide hands-on coding and architecture support during all phases of development Define and enforce coding standards, code reviews, and best practices Ensure application scalability, performance, and security Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to the team Required Skills: 5+ years of experience with Java/J2EE 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot 5+ years of experience with Angular 4+ years of hands-on architecture and design experience 4+ years of experience developing microservices Preferred Skills: Experience with containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, SonarQube) Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Understanding of RESTful services and API security Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Certifications: Not specified (Java/Spring or cloud certifications are a plus) Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
