The Operator/Set Up II is responsible for preparing, adjusting and operating industrial machinery, complex production following the established work plan. Performs basic level repairs and follows the manufacturing specifications for the product. Follow the standards of safety, quality standards and the policies and procedures established by the company. Responsibilities Prepare and make adjustments to advanced level production machinery following the manufactured product specifications and established production schedules. Operate production machinery following safety standards and procedures of the Production Department. Perform basic level repairs to production machinery as required. Interpret and apply specifications of the manufactured product to the operation of the production machinery. Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery following the schedules and established quality standards. Inspect parts following the available drawings and/or schematics ensuring a high level of quality and meeting product specifications. Adjust mechanical and pneumatic components to production machines ensuring the compliance with product specifications and quality standards. Keep the required documentation up to date according to the quality systems and the department procedures. Identify deficiencies and repair needs in production machinery, ensuring a maximum use of them. Maintain records of product and machinery inspections following procedures established by the department. Use measuring instruments and hand tools to make adjustments and prepare the production machinery. Perform visual inspections of the components of the manufactured product ensuring that meet quality standards. Report any abnormality in the product or to the immediate supervisor or designated personnel process. Transfer knowledge about the operation of production machinery to personnel within your work area. Coordinate, with the personnel within the work area, any work to be carried out at the industrial production machinery. Keep work areas clean and report unsafe conditions that may affect the employee safety. Manage waste and dispose of it following the procedures established by the company. Ensure safety in the work area and ensure compliance with standards and established procedures. Comply with established standards and procedures related to health, safety and the environment. Actively participate in meetings with department staff with the aim of discussing operational and/or administrative aspects of the company. Comply with the rules, policies and procedures established by the Human Resources Department. Operate a motor vehicle in a usual or regular manner as part of the performance of their duties, functions and/or occasionally operate suspended floor cranes. Discuss key metrics daily with support and production staff through IIOT Dashboard, Visual Display, Tier 1 Board. Maintain and enforce the use of TDM and the PDES system in the manufacturing area through manufacturing floor connectivity. Report issues and anomalies in the Tiers meeting via floor connectivity manufacture. Qualifications Associate’s degree in automotive or industrial mechanics and/or Associate’s Degree in Tool & Die Maker. 1 year of experience in manufacturing processes, tools and intermediate knowledge of tooling equipment. Valid driver license. Intermediate level English and reading and writing. Knowledge to read and interpret schematics and plans. Knowledge of quality-related processes, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Basic knowledge of LEAN processes and tools. Ability to interpret and read plans. Ability to operate advanced level production machinery. Knowledge of multiple operational processes. Knowledge of mathematics – advanced level. Experience in complex mechanics and parts manufacturing at an advanced level. Experience in preparing and adjusting advanced production machinery. Troubleshooting skills. Ability to plan daily tasks and coordinate. Pay Pay Details: $12.75 to $13.50 per hour.
