Largo – 10416 Campus Way South, Upper Marlboro MD 20774 Responsibilities
Perform radiographic exams following established protocols and positioning techniques. Provide patients with explanations of procedures and appropriate positioning prior to performing the x‑ray. Practice radiation protection measures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and employees. Assist with triaging, discharge, and other basic patient care as radiology workflow allows. Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, height/weight). Perform basic laboratory tests such as EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs. Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s degree or equivalent (Required) Program Completion:
Completion of an approved R.T program (Required) Licenses & Certifications:
Current ARRT certification (Required); Maryland State Radiographer License (Required); CPR Certification (Required) Work Experience:
Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital (preferred) Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Knowledge of medical terminology; Understanding of human anatomy; Proficiency in operating x‑ray equipment; Effective written and verbal communication skills; Reliable transportation with willingness to comply with company travel policy; Ability to work 12+ hour shifts, stand/walk for long periods, and lift 25 lbs.; Mandatory scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays. Competitive hourly pay: $35–$40, plus overtime opportunities. $2,500 sign‑on bonus for full‑time positions.
