THE OPPORTUNITY As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for ensuring our food is absolutely delicious, ordering the necessary supplies, and training others to become future Kitchen Leaders. You help ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s food every day by keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and well‑stocked; maintaining equipment; and modeling teamwork for crew members.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.

Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.

Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house crew and front‑of‑house crew.

Develop crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.

Communicate with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.

Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.

Monitor kitchen equipment and keep it in good repair, reporting malfunctioning equipment promptly.

Ensure that the kitchen and all crew members meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.

Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation (FIFO) as required.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

High school diploma.

Restaurant experience.
