Job Location Panama City, FL (Tyndall AFB)

Salary Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Salary will be discussed with manager in interview based on experience.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen and must pass a Federal Background Review and drug screen.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections and submit reports on construction projects at federal facilities for compliance with contract, design documents, plans and specifications in regard to workmanship, materials, installation and construction methods.

Provide recommendations or necessary changes to government personnel regarding contract plans and specifications relative to all phases of construction.

Monitor contractor’s quality system and administer the three‑phase inspection process.

Provide surveillance at construction sites and assist owner in problem resolution.

Deliver and review change orders, modifications, RFIs and submittals.

Monitor contractor’s schedule.

Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor’s requests for payment.

Verify accuracy of as‑built drawings.

Review and ensure QA and safety plans are adhered to by the contractor.

Utilize Resident Management System (RMS).

Education & Experience

High School Diploma/GED minimum; construction–related degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of applicable experience large complex multimillion‑dollar federal projects, Department of Defense preferred.

Experience with a wide range of trades including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, roofing, and general building construction.

Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) experience preferred.

Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred.

Experience with the three‑phase inspection process.

Experience with OSHA and EM 385‑1‑1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.

Demonstrate proficiency and effective communications skills in English, both oral and written.

Knowledge of building and construction crafts to ensure required level of workmanship.

Capability to read contract drawings and specifications.

Professional presentation and excellent communication skills with attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license and insurable.

Physical Requirements

Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.

Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
