Job Summary:
Visual Edge IT is seeking a detail‑oriented and production‑focused Print Shop Specialist to support high‑quality print and document services in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. This role is responsible for producing professional print materials, managing daily production workflows, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across all print output.
The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, thrives in a structured production setting, and understands the importance of meeting strict quality and turnaround standards—particularly in support of government and enterprise clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Produce high‑quality printed materials including graphics, posters, banners, and large‑format media.
Process document reproduction and duplication requests with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness.
Manage daily print queues and production schedules to ensure deadlines and service‑level expectations are met.
Prepare files for print, including file manipulation, formatting, and quality checks prior to production.
Operate and monitor print and finishing equipment to ensure consistent output quality.
Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to support special print projects as assigned.
Maintain organized workflows, documentation, and job tracking to support efficient print operations.
Follow established procedures and compliance requirements, particularly for regulated or government‑supported work.
Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the print shop workspace to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
Complete other duties as assigned to support overall print shop operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
Working knowledge of print shop operations, workflows, and production best practices.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite for file preparation and graphic production.
Strong file management and document handling skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple print jobs, and meet production deadlines consistently.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills to address production challenges efficiently.
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
Team‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous print shop or production print experience preferred.
