We are seeking a thoughtful, creative, and strategic Public Relations & Communications Manager to steward and amplify the Good Samaritan story across all platforms and audiences. This role plays a vital part in shaping how patients, families, staff, donors, partners, and the broader community understand who we are, what we do, and why it matters. Working closely with leadership, clinical teams, development, and community partners, this position strengthens our brand, voice, and public presence while honoring the sacred work we do.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the steward of the Good Samaritan brand, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all service lines
Partner with leadership to align communications with organizational goals and priorities
Develop and manage marketing and referral materials, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and relevance
Create and share compelling stories that highlight the experiences of patients, families, staff, and volunteers
Manage social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement
Oversee website content, updates, and ongoing maintenance
Coordinate digital, print, and community advertising campaigns
Serve as a point of contact for advertising partners and select media inquiries
Collaborate with HR, development, and clinical teams to support recruitment marketing, internal communications, and community initiatives
Support crisis communications and reputation management as needed
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate sensitive topics with empathy and clarity
Experience coordinating marketing materials, digital content, and social media
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Experience in healthcare, hospice, palliative care, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations preferred
Familiarity with website CMS platforms, social media management tools, and basic analytics
Graphic design or content creation experience a plus (Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)
Media relations or campaign management experience preferred
Schedule & Benefits
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Benefits: 21 days of PTO in your first year, $.60 per mile mileage reimbursement, company-paid life insurance and long-term disability insurance, medical through an ICHRA model offering multiple plan choices, and 401(k) with company match (100% match on the first 3%, 50% match on the next 1%)
