Lead Teller – KeyBank Location: 4892 W Seneca Turnpike – Syracuse, NY 13215 Be a trusted advisor and partner to KeyBank communities, solving complex client issues, coaching team members, and enhancing client relationships with quality service in branch. Key Responsibilities
Deliver a client experience culture, building relationships and spotting financial wellness opportunities during client conversations. Perform teller functions accurately, balancing cash drawer within guidelines and ensuring compliance, audit, and security procedures. Identify, investigate, and resolve more complex client servicing issues and provide coaching to tellers to enhance effectiveness. Assist clients in achieving financial goals using financial wellness tools and transition clients to a Banker for deeper conversations. Manage day-to-day teller line duties, including scheduling tellers, observing teller performance, and providing operational guidance to branch staff. Participate in in‑person morning huddles, end‑of‑day debriefs, and onboarding and training new tellers. Work Saturdays as directed by management and perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience. Minimum 3 years of demonstrated superior client relationship skills. Minimum 3 years of experience in cash handling. Working knowledge of PC with Windows applications and calculator. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, foster teamwork, and manage multiple tasks. Preferred Skills
Notary License (preferred). Knowledgeable about client accounts and business and uses sound judgment. Strong sales and service skills with proactive education of clients on available access channels. Excellent time management and daily activities of teller line management. Promoting bank products and services to clients, achieving sales targets. Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate in the range of $18.75 – $24.52 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance. Benefits:
