Mechanical Engineer

This position will support and work with a group that will design a nuclear facility.

Job Details:

• Perform detail component, system and design engineering activities including drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Must have ASME Code Section III and VIII experience
• Perform component design, with an understanding of incorporating assembly, testing and inspection of mechanical components and system functions within the design.
• Implement design control and configuration control concepts.
• Implement concepts of design for manufacturing and system operations.
• Learn a variety of new procedures, processes and tools while maintaining various stages of production.
• Specify procurement requirements for mechanical components or system operability.

Requirements:

* B.S. degree in Engineering discipline is required

* Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

* Experience with ANSYS software is desired

* Must have experience working with nuclear reactor core components, reactor vessel and reactor vessel head components.

* Must have knowledge of project engineering activities

* Must be a U.S. Citizen

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

E Education & Experience:

BS or higher w/10+ years of experience

Work will be remote with occasional visits to the office in Oak Ridge, TN
