Camp Ondessonk
Spend this summer gaining valuable experience as a Camper Support Specialist at Camp Ondessonk. Situated on 983 acres adjacent to the Shawnee National Forest, Camp Ondessonk is a Catholic Youth Camp serving children ages 8-16. As a Camper Support Specialist, you will spend the summer working and learning daily with the campers to ensure those who would benefit from an individualized care plan are receiving the Ondessonk experience. This position is hands on and perfect for counseling and psychology students.

Provide targeted assistance for campers.
Essential Job Functions
Implement individual camper plans for campers who have requested additional resources, and to communicateand coordinate those plans with relevant staff
Check on aforementioned campers multiple times throughout their stay to ensure needs are being met
Work with the Camper Coordinator to support Unit Leaders and Unit Staff who have requested additional assistance serving their campers
Assist with parent communication throughout the summer
Help maintain ACA standards
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be at least 19 years of age
Knowledge and experience working with a variety of camper situations
Possess a clean driving record
Be flexible, innovative, and a good communicator
