Service Advisor – Nashville, TN Cumberland International Trucks, Inc. is seeking a bright and mechanically apt Service Advisor to join our service team in Nashville, TN. The role involves intake of customers, communicating repair needs and costs, handling all incoming work write‑ups, opening/closing repair orders, and relaying information to service technicians while keeping customers updated on repair status.

Responsibilities

Receive and process all incoming work, communicate with customers and other internal departments.

Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain all required vehicle/customer information (miles, engine hours, damage).

Write up customers’ vehicle issues, maintenance requirements, and alternatives clearly.

Use OEM questionnaires and attach documents to the Repair Order (RO).

Consult with technicians about needed repairs and alternative options.

Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with technicians as needed.

Inform customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections.

Assist customers in deciding to repair through the dealership or trade‑in options.

Oversee and manage the service center’s scheduling and workflow.

Notify customers of service changes and when their vehicle is ready for pickup.

Close repair orders and obtain customer signatures.

Open repair orders under warranty or customer pay status, ensuring compliance with vendor and warranty guidelines.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.

Experience as a Service Advisor in a dealership environment is a plus.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical knowledge.

Professional demeanor and strong commitment to customer service.

Team player with good written and verbal communication skills.
