As a Business Development Specialist, you will generate a sales pipeline, shape early‑stage opportunities, and partner with leadership to convert qualified leads into strategic partnerships. This specialist will be the first hire in our sales team and play a crucial role in building the foundation of our future growth. This is not an entry‑level position; we are looking for an ambitious professional to contribute in a high‑growth environment. You will focus on high‑activity prospecting, disciplined pipeline management in our CRM, research, and consultative first conversations with hospital executives. Finally, you will assist the Chief Development Officer in building out our sales plans, maintaining sales data in our CRM, and ensuring the infrastructure is scalable to support doubling the size of our company again.
Key Responsibilities
Generate a sales pipeline and shape early‑stage opportunities.
Partner with leadership to convert qualified leads into strategic partnerships.
Facilitate high‑activity prospecting and disciplined pipeline management in the CRM.
Conduct research and lead consultative first conversations with hospital executives.
Assist the Chief Development Officer in building sales plans and maintaining sales data.
Ensure infrastructure scalability to support company growth.
You’ll Succeed If You:
Love outreach, are a self‑starter, understand hospital operations drivers.
Can translate clinical and operational value into outcomes (quality, staffing stability, patient experience, financial performance).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or health‑care related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Resident of one of the Gulf States.
Experience in Sales Support or Sales Operations (3‑5 years preferred).
Proficiency with CRM software.
Experience in data entry and reporting.
Background in customer service or client‑facing roles.
Working Conditions The Business Development Specialist will work in the Tupelo, MS office with the team on a regular basis, however hybrid and remote options may be available.
