About the role Are you passionate about agriculture and finance? We are seeking a dedicated Loan Officer to join our team. As a Loan Officer, you will provide lending and agricultural expertise to our valued customers, building strong relationships to increase our loan portfolio. You will combine agricultural and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each customer’s financial position, and offer innovative solutions to their operational challenges.

Day in the life of a Loan Officer

Build customer relationships: gather financial information and listen to needs to provide tailored solutions.

Maintain sales database: record all interactions, manage prospecting plans, and nurture existing relationships.

Set sales goals: commit to loan and financial service targets, exceeding them to drive success.

Collaborate with specialists: work with tax, accounting, insurance, or other experts during joint sales calls.

Differentiating GreenStone: showcase our range of financial services and superior customer service.

Community engagement: strengthen local relationships and promote GreenStone’s reputation.

Analyze loan requests: review moderate‑size mortgage and commercial loan requests with a Credit Analyst, ensuring alignment with risk parameters.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum 1 year experience in agribusiness/farming industry or equivalent agriculture credit or closely related field.

Desired Skills

Basic knowledge of loan products, services and credit operations.

Knowledge of farm production methods and products.

Understanding of farm business management, finance, macroeconomics.

Knowledge of various business/financial applications.
