Direct Care Worker – East Patchogue, NY
Apply to join Braverhood as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities, medical and mental health challenges. Your pay will range from $18.00/hr to $20.00/hr based on skills and experience. Responsibilities
Foster a positive environment for individuals to achieve personal goals such as social interactions and activities of daily living. Work closely with Case Supervisors to develop monthly goals and action plans. Document services rendered and client progress daily and monthly. Provide support for individuals in the home and community settings. Attend mandatory staff meetings and annual training. Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time. Adhere to all agency and OPWDD regulations. Qualifications
Accountability and commitment are required. Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Experience working with the special needs community, preferably children or young adults, in community settings. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and vehicle. U.S. citizenship or valid work permit. Complete an online DSP training course upon hire. Ability to arrive at work on time. Dress code: casual but appropriate and respectful. Seniority Level
