Job Summary
A great client is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their Sensing Systems division, where the team designs, manufactures, and tests specialized radiation detectors for nuclear reactors. The successful candidate must hold a BSME or a related degree, possess relevant experience working within a manufacturing environment, and be proficient in CAD software.

Responsibilities
Individual will analyze, understand, and interpret design documents, interact with other engineers and teams at various levels to ensure high quality analyses and calculations, and develop documentation related to calculations and analysis.
Perform rigorous engineering analysis, calculations, and interpretation of design documents to ensure product integrity.
Create and verify technical specifications (materials, parts, manufacturing, tests) and develop comprehensive engineering and test reports.
Act as the technical expert to support and resolve issues for the Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams.
Mentor and support engineering associates on design analysis and specification reviews.
Design experiments and prepare technical reports on test results.
Manage required business travel (approximately 5%).
Qualifications
Must have a B.S in Mechanical Engineering or related science from an accredited college or university.
Previous experience working within a Manufacturing facility environment
Working knowledge of electrical testing and expertise in Material Review
Creative problem-solving capabilities.
Working knowledge of engineering software tools (e.g. AutoCad Inventor, Matlab, Ansys FEA, etc.).
Proficient with MS Office Products (Word and Excel).
