Averhealth is looking for a dedicated Lead Specimen Accessioner to service our state-of-the-art Laboratory in St. Louis, MO. This position is Full-Time working 30+ hours per week with overtime eligibility. 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares specimen (urine) for analysis by receiving and opening in accordance with our standard operation procedures Accession samples according to standard operating procedures Generate and pull picklists Prepares excess specimen samples for storage Enters sample information into the software database Disposes of samples after the analysis is complete Maintains cleanliness of accessioning work areas Assists in training new employees as needed Fulfill external orders queue Research & retrieval of add-on samples from sites Sign samples into computer information management system Opening bags/sample container pour overs (vial changes) Weighs out hair samples for confirmation testing Investigates discrepancies involving sample receipt, storage or analysis Evaluates Aversys functionality as needed and communicates directly to laboratory and IT management Communicates with collection site leaders Resolves one-off samples Lead the team in absence of manager Ticket desk management to resolved inquiries Reconcile Arrival queue (researching leftover samples) Check that all production is complete/check all queues Find Investigation queue samples KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required Previous experience accessioning samples preferred Previous experience in a lab setting preferred Experience in a position requiring completion of a routine task is highly desirable
