Responsibilities and Expectations
We are seeking a Regional Mechanical Engineer to join our Central Region team
As a Regional Mechanical Engineer for IPS, you will be responsible for guiding and auditing the work of the Mechanical Engineering team for the Norman, OK Service Center in the Central Region
This position will also be responsible in supporting staff placement on developing new engineering solutions and products consistent with the appropriate timelines and budget.
Provide reverse engineering and general engineering support for all custom motor request
Ensure that repairs meet customer expectations
Assist with implementation of quality improvement actions
Develop and implement mechanical repair practices training curriculum
Champion development of mechanical work motor repair instructions
Qualifications and Competencies
B.S. or M.S. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
Five years of experience with the design, repair and testing of industrial electric motors
Experience in industrial electric motors and generator - design, manufacturing, application, repair, testing, diagnostics, and maintenance
Ability to perform RFCA and apply FMEA principles
Develop and compete required work scopes compliant to all applicable standards and specifications
