About The Role Exploitation Analyst (EA) Requirements
Experience with computer or information systems design, development, or analysis roles.
Experience in engineering hardware and/or software, programming, computer/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, systems engineering, and/or network and systems administration.
Ability to apply a deep understanding of adversary networks, network defenses, and cyber network operational capabilities to develop exploitation plans and make operational adjustments as plans are executed.
Qualifications
TS/SCI level clearance with a full‑scope polygraph.
Experience
Level 1: Associate degree + 4 years experience OR BA degree + 2 years experience
Level 2: AA + 7 years experience
BA + 5 years experience
Master’s + 3 years experience
Doctorate + 2 years experience
Level 3: AA + 10 years
BA + 8 years
Master’s + 6 years
PhD + 4 years
Level 4: AA + 13 years
BA + 11 years
Master’s + 9 years
PhD + 7 years
Education Requires a degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security). 18 semester hours of military training/coursework in networking, computer science, or cyber topics may be considered equivalent to an associate degree. Relevant certifications or training include, but are not limited to, Security+, Net+, CEH, JCAC course. Short NCS compliance training or courses under one week are not counted.
Completion of military training in a relevant area such as JCAC may be considered toward the experience requirement (e.g., a 24‑week JCAC course may count as six months of experience). In some cases, foreign language proficiency may also satisfy experience requirements; recent Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scores are required to substantiate proficiency level. The total of all experience equivalencies is capped at half of the required years of experience.
