Job Title:
Low Voltage Electrical Technician
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Electrical Technician to join our team. Must have strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems and demonstrate expertise in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Install, maintain, and repair low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to structured cabling, data networks, security systems, and audio-visual equipment
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to effectively perform electrical work according to specifications and safety codes.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.
Conduct tests and inspections to ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures or issues, providing immediate and effective solutions.
Experience with AV/IT solutions
Follow site survey forms, BOM and specification templates
Ability to work with power and hand tools
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in electrical technology is preferred.
Minimum of [X] years of experience working with low voltage systems.
Strong understanding of electrical theory and the national electrical code.
Proficient in the use of tools and equipment relevant to low voltage systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Valid driver’s license required as travel to various sites may be necessary.
