Position Summary Staff Appraisers are responsible for accepting and completing value assignments in accordance with RSDS standards, USPAP, federal and state regulations, and client directives. They ensure quality guidelines are met, and conclusions in appraisal reports are credible and supported.
Position Responsibilities
Accept and complete value assignments using recognized methods and techniques to produce a credible appraisal.
Execute appraisal processes in compliance with USPAP, federal and state appraisal laws, and client directives.
Complete real estate appraisals from non‑complex to highly complex assignments within a defined territory.
Manage data, including collection, verification, and analysis of sales, pending sales, and listings.
Maintain documentation necessary to support opinions and conclusions and demonstrate compliance with USPAP.
Meet production and service goals while meeting or exceeding the RSDS Service Level Agreement.
Provide proactive status updates at the order level and respond promptly to calls, emails, and texts.
Attend and participate in company training and conference calls as required.
Complete other reasonable management‑directed tasks.
Position Requirements
Current state‑issued appraiser license or certification in compliance with the territory of operation.
Proven experience in real estate appraisals, especially residential properties.
Excellent data management skills for collecting, verifying, and analyzing data.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet production and service goals.
Capable of driving a vehicle to appraisal inspections and have reliable transportation.
Physical demands include extensive walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working in extreme weather.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience (required).
Valid driver’s license.
Background checks required.
