What is the Opportunity? Aecon is a North American construction and infrastructure development company with global experience – transforming vision into reality. We offer a full spectrum of nuclear services for refurbishment, maintenance, new build, decommissioning, modularization, and fabrication to power a sustainable future. Our nuclear sector plays an important role in extending the life of existing nuclear stations and executing the next generation of nuclear new builds leveraging a similar fleet execution strategy. From our work delivering the two largest refurbishment projects (Savannah River nuclear station and North Anna Power Station) in North America to deploying the first grid‑scale SMR in the western world, we continue moving forward with a strategic focus on decarbonizing energy systems in support of a net zero future.
The Project Planner – Mechanical is a highly motivated self‑starter who will assist in various areas of the Dominion Projects.
Citizenship:

What You’ll Do Here
Navigate and work within MAXIMO.
Plan both online and outage work orders using MAXIMO.
Produce detailed work plans and instructions.
Prepare reports and history records in MAXIMO.
Order material in MAXIMO.
Perform constructability reviews and plant walk‑downs.
Evaluate the work environment to determine which support groups are required.
Attend internal and external meetings.
Provide guidance/input regarding work planning, execution and commissioning strategies.
Coordinate with Operations to generate requests for equipment isolation.
What You Bring To The Team
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
Ability to meet the challenges of this dynamic role.
Ability to work with different work groups (Project Management, Engineering, Implementation and Dominion Personnel).
Planners must understand and be familiar with the nuclear plant equipment.
Planner is familiar with standard nuclear procedures and policies.
Holds a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil certification (or equivalent experience/education).
A minimum of 5 years working at a Nuclear Generation Station as Planner or Field Engineer (or equivalent).
Physical Demands
Various work locations in both field and office.
Walk‑down of project sites and systems outside and inside of station are required to support work‑order assessments.
Travel as necessary.
